...Here's how to
Get this red carpet look I gave the gorgeous Ms Jaime King for her Sin City premier.

This amazing look came together at the very last minute. Can I tell you what tied the whole thing together for me? It was the perfect soft coral/pink lip color I’d been thinking about using on her for weeks. I was so inspired by the fresh faced, super youthful version of Jaime who walked through the door with no makeup on, hair slicked into a high bun, straight from a day at work, ready to let me transform her into an evening glamour goddess. Then the stylist began pulling out stunning gowns, amazing heels, and killer jewelry out for us to look through. I was immediately bowled over by the glamour of this sleek and sexy Versace gown and stunning drop gold and diamond earrings she ultimately decided to wear. The question I kept asking myself was how to keep the essence of the fresh-faced natural look Jaime had when she first got home, while transforming her look into a red carpet head-turner.
Wanting to keep the luminosity of fresh young skin, I used a face oil from Odacite, along with an Acai and Rose Serum from the same brand to prep her skin. I kept her foundation super light, using Vapor Organic Beauty stick and liquid foundation on her t-zone, and adding in extra highlights with Ilia’s highlighter, ‘Polka Dots and Moon Beams’ along her cheekbones, the bridge of her nose, and her cupid’s bow. I intensified her glowing and healthy cheeks with a little mauve cream blush from Kjaer Weis in ‘Abundance‘.
Since this look was all about fresh, I kept her eye makeup minimal, exaggerating her lash line with some extra lashes, her lids with an glowing nude eyeshadow from Jane Iredale, and a whole lot of mascara. When I stepped back and surveyed what I’d done I realized the look needed an extra bit of depth, so I used a Kjaer Weis matte brown shadow in ‘Earthy Calm’ to define her crease.
Jaime likes a full brow, so I defined her brows with a soft brown shadow and brushed them into place.
On her lips, I kept it simple and combined the two shades of new lip crayon from Burt’s Bees that I’d been day dreaming about using on the fair complexioned blonde. ‘Sedona Sands’, a cool nude/pink, when mixed with Hawaiian Smolder takes on a beautiful soft coral/pink tone. It was the perfect finishing touch to complete the fresh faced look, and with a matte/satin finish, her lips stood out perfectly, and stayed moisturized all night long. I just took a look at burtsbees.com, and wouldn’t you know it, the lip crayons have been marked down from $9.00… to an even better price: $7.20 Hooray! It’s time to treat yourself. xo
